I qualified in 2014 as an Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Practitioner [EMDR] at the Alexandra Richman Training. I have worked with clients based at The Priory Hospital in Chelmsford for individual EMDR sessions. I also see clients on a private basis for individual EMDR therapy sessions lasting 1 hour 30 minutes.
I undertook a Postgraduate Diploma at London Metropolitan University in 2011, where I studied Cognitive & Behavioural Therapy. I have been practising the Cognitive & Behavioural therapy approach at The Priory Hospital in Woking. In this setting I provide group therapy to patients predominantly suffering anxiety disorders and depression. Alongside delivering group therapy, I work with clients on an individual basis whereby sessions last 50 minutes to one hour.
In 2009 I received a BSc (Hons) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse from the University of Hertfordshire, gaining a 2.1 grade. I worked with residents suffering from dementia, predominately Alzheimer’s disease for four years. I also worked in the National Health Service in an acute psychiatric unit with patients suffering a range of mental health problems.
